Who we are

Local Rank Tracker is run by IvI SEO Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14354852). We’re the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@localranktracker.co.uk.

What we collect and why

  • Your email address and name, to run your account, send sign-in links and reports, and tell you about your account (for example when a scheduled run is waiting for credits). Our lawful basis is the contract with you.
  • Report recipients you add to a campaign. We email them each run’s report on your behalf and nothing else. You’re responsible for having their permission.
  • The businesses, areas and searches you track, and the Google Maps results we collect for them. These are public business listings, not personal data about you.
  • Billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep your plan, subscription status, payments and Stripe customer reference.
  • Security and fair-use data. To stop the free daily scan being abused, and to limit sign-in emails, we keep salted one-way hashes of your network address, email and a device cookie, never the raw IP address. Hashes for the free scan are deleted after 3 days and request counters after 30 days. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and free scans fair.

Cookies

We use two cookies, both strictly necessary: lrt_session keeps you signed in, and lrt_dev is a random device id that stops one device claiming more than one free scan a day. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run the service: Cloudflare (hosting, database and bot checks), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) and DataForSEO (who run the Google Maps searches; they receive the search and the map location, never your details). Town, postcode and coastline lookups go to postcodes.io and the Office for National Statistics, with map coordinates only. Some of these providers process data outside the UK under the UK’s approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it’s open. If you close it, we delete your account, businesses, campaigns and scans within 30 days, except billing records we must keep for tax (six years). Sign-in links expire after 30 minutes and are deleted within a day.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@localranktracker.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
